Default Seatbelt light

Is there anyway to shut off the seatbelt sensor on a 2011 Ram. The beep gets kind of annoying. I know on the crown vics there is a way to do it by inserting and removing the seatbelt several times with the key in a certain position, does dodge have anything like this?

My 2006 did have a way to do that, but I haven't found or seen anything on the 2011 yet to do it. Thinking maybe now its law they may have done away with it, but I don't know for sure

I don't know why you wouldn't just wear it, it could save your life so that you can enjoy your vehicle. Unless you'd sooner be dead if your baby got smashed up.

for the 2010, you latched the seat belt and turned the key on until you hear the chime. then you proceed to unlatch and relatch the seat belt 3 or 4 times, ending with the seat belt inserted and shut the truck off. if it works you will hear 3 chimes. it will not turn off the red seatbelt light but it will turn off the chime.

I disabled my brothers from a plug below the seat, but now i wonder if that will screw him or a passenger over. If it does not recognize them in the seat, will the airbag go off, need it be. Its an annoyance but it might be the difference between life or death, purely speculation, it may not work that way

Options:

1. Wear the seat belt.

Disconnecting it below the seat will mess with the airbag too and probably throw a code.

How do you enable a disabled seatbelt chime. I have a 2002 Dodge 3500. The seatbelt light will not go off and it does not chime when the seatbelt is unlatched.

I disabled my seat belt chime only because I do a lot of driving around the property at work and I have family that live right around the corner in our nieghborhood.
When I actually drive on the road my seatbelt is the first thing I do before I even start the truck.

As far as enabling your seatbelt chime if you know the process to disable it do the same thing to enable it... At least that is how it normally works. If your not sure of the process check your owners manual it may be in there or Google it.
