Default NEXT MOD! Installed nerf Bars on my 2011 Quad Cab Ram Today

Gentleman,
I installed my nerf bars on my 2011 Ram quad cab today. Stainless Steel/Lifetime Warranty from Back Country Accessories through www.trick-truck-toys.com 209.00/free shipping. This is the 2nd product i have gotten through them at a good price. I also got a Tonno Pro Brand Tri Fold Tonneau cover from them through Amazon.com for 269.00 / free shipping. Pictures of the Nerf Bars installed are below. I know the truck is extremely dirty. As anyone in the northern US knows it has been one heck of a winter. Being in ohio they love to toss salt all over the roads. It was a balmy 15 degrees outside while installing these. The only problem i have found with my ram is that it is too long for me to get it into the 3 car garage behind the house where all my tools / welders / car maintenance gear is located. I guess the next time i work on it in the winter i will have to move some tools to the front two car garage it normally sits in at night. Or i could get rid of some tools / toys / stuff.

They look good, they seem pretty tight to the body unlike others that stick out. This weather definetly sucks this year, I wanna get a set of the N-Fab nerf bars, but its just to cold and snowy to put them on and I dont have a garage.

They are adjustable. You can loosten the 1/2inch bolts on the bracket that runs from the tube to the bracket that is bolted to the frame and move them out probably 3/4 of and inch to 1 inch farther out than where they are now. I looked at them in the fully out position and decided that they looked much better in the position closest to the body. It is nice that they are adjustable unlike some other nerf bars / steps. I was a little concerned that they didn't come with a third bracket (to go in the center for support) becausae i am 6'4 and 295. However they seem really solid. Definately get stainless steel so they don't rust and they are easier to maintain / keep clean.

Looks great man, congratulations ! I do have one small tip for you just from my own experience. When you have side steps especially up close to the body like my F-150 did be cautious of ice build up between the tubes and your body ! They really messed up the lower doors and rockers on that truck and I could hear it scraping while I was driving. If they were body mounted steps it might not be so bad but because of the flex between the frame and body it just didn't work so I was constantly at the car wash blasting ice away. Anyways those do look great on your truck !

Great mod, thanks for the pics. I can definitely relate, it's been a horrible winter.

They look great closer to the truck, but they are more functional when they are extended out more (more of an area to step on)

Put the CRACK PIPE DOWN !!! Never get rid of tools as soon as you do you will need something you got rid of....I can hardly get the nose of my truck in my garage.... Too many tools....Life is good.
