Default Removing factory exhaust

Hi guys, looking to put a Magnaflow on the Ram. Do you have to cut the stock exhaust to remove?

I installed a similar magnaflow exhaust on my Jeep Grand Cherokee last year and it was a pain in the ass hacksawing the stock pipe to install the magnaflow.

Rather can creep under my truck, i figured it would be easier to ask someone thats already removed the factory exhaust.

Thanks in advance!

Well Mufflex have kits to replace the stock muffler and they are bolt on. I haven't done mine yet however its on top of my todo list. Others will chime in I'm sure.

If you do the mufflex, it "clamps" in. Cherry Bomb makes a similar kit, just different sound. OR you can have a shop cut out your stock muffler and weld in a new magnaflow muffler of your choice. Mufflex and Cherry bomb kit you could do yourself.
Here is my shop done Magnaflow http://ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=71908

And here is mufflex kit http://www.mufflex-performance.com/2009_1.html

And Cherry Bomb http://ramforumz.com/showthread.php?...ht=cherry+bomb

Let me know if you have any more questions!

Depends of the mileage and condition I would say. Mine was able to simply loosen the bolt on the muffler clamp and wiggle the pipe free...less than 3,000 miles on the truck.

Glad you found what you like! If they are hard to get off, just soak them in WD-40 for 5-10 minutes, should be easier after!
