Default First Mod - Brake Controller

Installed the factory brake controller. Installed in only a few minutes. Powered right up without issue. Looks sooo MUCH better than the prodigy unit I had screwed to the bottom of the dash on my 2007 Ram.

The exclamation point is because no trailer was hooked up.

Yes it is. Controller Part #56029431AG
BLACK bezel Part #1EB13XDVAA
On my 2011 it's plug and play. EVIC has not been flashed yet. No issue with install only takes a few minutes.

When you say plug and play, will it work as is with the controls on the unit or does the EVIC have to be flashed for it to work.

If not, what advantage does having the EVIC flashed provide?

Plug it into the connectors under the dash and it's 100% operational. All the EVIC programming does is allow you to see it on the dash. The EVIC programming is not needed to use this device.
Think of it as adding an aftermarket unit, no programming needed. This is the same thing.

I bet we bought it from the same place. Mine came from TAMPA in 1 day.
Packaging left MUCH to be desired as the unit was bouncing around in a big empty box. I called and told them I was not amused and if I had any thought it would not work it was coming back, electronic device or not. They apologized and said no problem. Luckily it's fine.
Install took just over 10 minutes, I was taking my time. Super easy.
