Think of it as adding an aftermarket unit, no programming needed. This is the same thing.
Thanks,

I was told by the dealership that if the truck didn't have it from the factory it would not work. I will order one tomorrow morning.

Dealer told me the same thing. Bunch of folks here were told the same thing as well. They all have working brake controllers that they purchased from RAM and installed themselves.

I will be stopping in at the dealership with the Part Numbers you provided and see what the price is. Part of my purchase agreement was parts and accessories at cost so hopefully I can get a decent deal. If not, I will order from the link provided earlier.

Thanks

Install took just over 10 minutes, I was taking my time. Super easy.
yep same issue here same place too

30 degrees? Must be a heat wave, damned global warming. One of the easier faster mods to perform.
Did it power up like my picture? If so your good to go.

Under the hood there are 2 fuses marked "M2" and "M4" which is a 15 and 10amp fuse and noted as "trailer"..did you have to put a fuse in these spot?

I've gotten that all over that it won't work...spoke with a dealer that said a "kit" was due out in march? Has anyone installed this and not have it work?

I don't think the dealer will or can do a flash for it

something about the manufacturer has to add it some how to your vehicle build specs & they won't or can't do it, that has to be done for the flash to work
damn modern electronics
