I don't think the dealer will or can do a flash for it

something about the manufacturer has to add it some how to your vehicle build specs & they won't or can't do it, that has to be done for the flash to work
damn modern electronics
Find another dealer. They can go into Dealer connect, add the code, re download the computer info...flash..and you are good to go. I had no issues whatsoever getting mine done at the dealer I bought mine from. Great service department and sales staff.

Just spoke with the Dodge representative. There is a kit coming out in March and it will come with both bezels (tan and black).....Didn't have a price yet but the only thing I suspect extra that will be in there is the instructions to the dealer on the codes for the flash.

Does anyone already know the code?

16again...is the exclamation on all the time when the trailer isn't hooked up? Is that normal?

I'm wondering the same thing ... I just picked my 2011 yesterday and it came with the controller installed. Mine shows the numbers but not the trailer icon. I don't have my 5th wheel hitch installed yet or I could hook up to see what happens. Please let me know!

Only on during start up and no trailer connected.

Wonder if its the same engineer that said it would be available in Sept. 2010, Nov. 2010, wait..Jan. 2011, Feb. 2011....and the wait continues.

Wonder if the grey bezel will be available...hmmm...

Good luck to all that decide to wait for the kit....my 2010 with brake controller added after the purchase is working great.

I'll wait until mid-march just to see, the part number is 82212548 for the kit. If they don't have it by then I'll order the parts separately.

I'm glad I found this thread...as I was contemplating having the dealer install. They quoted me a price of $250. However, from what all of you are saying, this is an easy install!

16Again - I noticed you mention the Prodigy brake controller. Have you had a chance to try this factory controller? I'm just curious how it performs as I like my Prodigy (particularly the boost settings for that initial help in stopping). Was just curious how you felt the factory one compared.

I like the looks of the install; I was struggling to figure out how to install the Prodigy at a decent angle on the bottom of the dash! Thanks a ton guys!!

I have only pulled a 7k trailer, but it works great, no boost settings needed so far. I used a Prodigy for years and loved it, but have no complaints on the OEM controller. And check under ur dash for two different size plugs. The OEM is simply plug and play if you have both plugs. It will work just fine without the EVIC flash. (at least mine did...but i did get it flashed for free also)
