There still could be air in there, It real easy to do the job. There is a allen nut on the face of the water pump and you take that out at fill you rad until there is no more air bluping out of the hole and then put the nut back in.

there is no allen nut on the water pump this is the problem , if there was one it will be easy as you say , but i really assure you that there is no one , i saw one on the 4.7 engine and i was looking at my truck but its not there,,,

If they're filling it through the upper hose, the stat will be blocking most of the coolant from going in and it would take a very long time to get the air out.

Drive it for a few days and keep an eye on the coolant and temp levels. Start with the engine cold and make sure the coolant level in the overflow bottle is at the full line and check it the next couple of mornings before starting the engine to see if it's gone down. If it has, you can assume the cooling system is pulling in coolant to replace any remaining air.

today the temp was so high so i went to replace the thermostat but couldnt find new one so they did two small holes one on each side of the thermostat and fit it back again , the temp now barely reach the middle , so is it ok to keep it like this ? is there any damage ? or shall i order new thermostat , please advise me , thanks
