Default Cylinder 8 Misfire

2 weeks ago, my check engine light came on in my '10 ram 1500. I've got just over 11k on it and have loved it so far.
I read the code and I got a cylinder 8 misfire code.
Took it to the dealership the next day and 'they fixed it.' Or so they thought, it was back on 2 days later. Long story short, I've had it to the dealer 3 times now for a total of 7 days spent in the shop. Light came back on today and I'm not happy.
They replaced the 4 & 8 cylinder spark plugs, plug wires, and fuel injectors.

Anybody else have this problem? I don't really blame the dealership, as they have really tried to help and solve the problem. They've given me a rental and seem to have exhausted options for fixing it.
Any thought?

Why are they working on the #4 cylinder when #8 is the one misfiring? BTW, they can't replace the plug wires as your motor doesn't have any.

Hey guys,

Hey i'm new here and was wondering if this guy ever got to the bottom of the problem. I got an 06 dodge ram Hemi, The same problem, different motor. Iv'e had the check engine light on and off for a good 6 months, this week was the worst, cause i actually thought the tranny was slipping. After driving to the beach, about an hour of driving, i noticed at low rpm, high torque there was some slipping, but i think it was actually missfiring, or thats what i want to belive. The check engine light came on when i was going home, during hard acceleration onto the highway, the truck had no balls, then the light started flashing, and instantly went into the powerband, it had some serious balls then. Ive shut the light off a few times with my code reader, and each time it has come on with this same hard accelleration onto the highway. P0308, cylander 8 missfire. Ive seen some threads about a broken valve spring, and ones about cleaning the MAF. Ive also seen the same shit about mechanics replacing the low hanging fruit and it hasn't cured the problem. (fuel injector, coil pack, plugs) Ive got 70K and do need a tune up, but i know this will not correct the problem, due to the number of threads ive seen where it hasn't. Anyone with this same problem?

Help. I too get P0308 code only after hard acceleration. I can drive for months like a Grandmother and never see a light. I find passing gear one time and the check engine light comes on and I just reset codes and light go's off. WTF?
