Just get a lower plenum gasket kit from the Dodge dealer. It comes with everything you will need gaskets wise.

I would also recommend replacing the water pump by-pass hose. They are super cheap and too easy to damage during the removal process.

Its also WAY easy to perform a complete tune-up while the intake is off anyways. Might as well get a cap, rotor, and set of wires while your there.

that one looks ok but you dont absolutely need a new plate and hardware just the gasket will do fine, you can get just those same gaskets at the auto part store for 25 bucks.

From what I'm reading on *************** - unless you want to run the risk of the standard gaskets to fail AGAIN...the Hughes plenum plate would take care of the issue. If anything it can buy a lot of peace of mind that its done and won't return, if you're thinking long term ownership.

i would add, the bypass hose can be a real pain if it goes out later and you gotta take everything apart again. don't ask....

which reminds me, i think i shall be doing the same kind of tune-up as soon as i get my Hughes plate. thank you for the reminder

had a real quick question about the plenum. I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 5.9l, I have read on the forum about the different signs of a bad plenum...and believe that is one of my problems. The only answer I couldn't find is...would a bad plenum affect the oil pressure?
Any help would be appreciated.
