I like those better too as I am a fan of "traditional" nerf bars. I can't speak to the quality of those you linked.

Here is a Westin product in polished stainless you might like:

I have experience with Westin and like their products, although I have not used the bars linked. They're cheaper too...
Edit... Actually, I take that back. Now that I think about it, my brother has the oval wheel to wheels on his truck and loves them.

The ones you linked bend and go all the way under the truck? I'm doing all this from my phone right now bc I'm at college. When I get home I will look at them on the computer. Thanks for that link btw.

Given the color of your Ram and the chrome wheels, whichever model of step bar you get, I'd go with the shiny not black.

As for the cover, I saw you mentioned the fold up type. Have you checked out the Bak-flip G2 or F1? They are a hard cover that is secure.

When you get time, look into "AUTOTRUCKTOYS.COM" they have a good selection of nerf bars to choose from and definately look into the Bakflip G2, they are the way to go (quoting ROOTBEER) My opinion would be chrome since you have chrome wheels, you can also get chrome cladding for your mirrors and handles to help bring it all together, all from the same website... let us all know what you decide man.

I'd be a fan of OEM chrome myself oval tube steps. Also, I chose to put on an Access rollup tonneau cover that installs inside the bed rails. That allows the addition of Stainless tubular bed side rails, a look I like a lot! The price of the rollup tonneau cover and the bed rails is around $400 at Zigs.com. Check them out on ebay.

I went to a place called stylintrucks.com and they had the bed cover. Its a industrial leather top that folds two times. I really like the ease of getting it off and on. Also you can fold it front to back or back to front. It also has clips to hold it if you only fold it once. Its pretty neat.

The nerfs Im definatly going to need time to think about them. I cant really find a set of WESTINS that really appeal to me. Especually since they dont sell direct its hard to price compare and things like that. Based on what ive read Im not going with the raptor at this point. Id rather have the IONIC. So now Im baseing my opinions off that.

I will look into the covers you guys listed and see if I like them better. Im going to order the stuff together and want to order by tomm.

Happy B Day,

I ordered black nerf bars for my bright silver sport. Since my grill, door handles and rear bumper are all body color I decided having chrome nerf bars wouldn't look right. The black also also have a stealth appeal to them.

Hey, you like what you like. However, Westin is on several websites, including autoanything.com, but they don't have 5" bars though. Since you are concerned about rust, I would look for stainless bars.

I've been eyeing this sucker myself. Although it is a more well known name, I can't justify the price difference to the Extang Trifecta. If you search for the Tonnopro on this forum, you will find a large and informative thread.

I live in what's known as the rustbelt, we salt the crap out of our roads in winter. I just purchased a set of aluminum/stainless alloy. They look decent and appear strong, I went for something different than the tubes, I had the oem chrome tubes on my 2006 and stone chips along with salt and corrosion ruined them. I highly reccomend stainless all the way around. I would submit pics if I could figure out how to upload here. They were reasonably priced too$ 180.00 to my door.
