Default Magnaflow muffler vs Flowmaster

I have never been happy with the sound of my Flowmaster muffler. It sounds good at idle, but when you hit the throttle it just doesn't sound right. I have heard many other vehicles with Flowmasters that sound great. I am only running a single out, but I dont think thats the problem. I have read on here that many people feel the same as I do. Maybe the 5.9 and Flowmasters dont mix well unless you have headers and/or larger diameter pipe. Anyway, I bought a Magnaflow (30"glasspack style) and installed it today. I was a little worried that it would be louder than I want for a daily driver, but no it is perfect! At idle it has a nice low rumble, and great tone when you step on it. It doesnt "pop" or "blap", just nice and solid, now it sounds like a V8 should. This is the muffler I will go with when I get my headers and side out duels.

sounds like the exhaust I'll be going with. I always liked the Cherry Bomb and will have to give them a try.

Cherry Bomb is pretty nice too, great sound, but they still can't match Magnaflow on the construction quality and warranty!
