Default Another CAI ?

I'm sure this subject gets old but before I drop 300-400 on a CAI I'm needing to know is there any hard proof that the CAI for the 2011 Ram Hemi has any better performance over the stock box? I'm not talking about manufacturers dyno tests I'm talking about personal dyno test run with factory box and then one ran with a CAI installed.
I keep reading the factory box is as good as can get now days maybe change the tube to a smooth tube if one can be found and finding a good high flow filter, then I read just get a complete system. Again all I would like is to invest my money wisely and if there is no gain in performance then why throw my money away for a bling item.....

I do not know 100% about the new Rams but I have heard some people did feel a difference. I have an 07 Ram and I really noticed a difference in it. I do think that an aftermarket CAI will help out with power but maybe not as much as it did in the 3rd gens.

The cone filters will bring in more air then the thin flat filters that K&N makes. Also the hose like you mentioned needs to replaced to a smooth one to keep the air undisturbed. I say look into one but if you dont have the money for it then I guess go with a drop in filter. Choose wisely since some of them are garbage...there was a thread on them so check it out
