Default i have a question

i replaced my head unit in my 2008 quad cab with infinity speakers and replaced my door speakers with these http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-TS-A69.../dp/B000LY8DD6 and they sound muddy, way too much bass and when i turn it up the wrods sound even worse, from what im reading i need to bypass the factory amp is there another alternative?

assuming tht you have already played with the equalizer, bypassing the factoy amp seems like the best solution, your head unit will provide a much learer sound to the speaker directly.

I have tried in many vehicles to use aftermarket speakers with the factory infinity amp and without special adapters it never works right. my suggestion as well is to run new wires to the new speakers, thus bypassing the infinity amp

From experience with a Nissan Maxima I once owned with the factory Infinity sound system, I was told that when you replace the system, you need to replace everything (head unit too). I don't know how true this is since I had plans to replace it all anyway (and did). The reason behind it, as explained to me, is that the impedance ratings are custom matched to the infinity equipment. If you replace the speakers, more than likely they will not be the same, making them operate on a totally different power level. Again, this is what I was told. I would imagine that if you found speakers that matched the impedance level then you would be fine. Look at the back of those Infinity speakers and see what the ohm rating is... I have a feeling it's different than the ones you bought. Mine were. Good luck!!
