Default Ever teared up over something Auto related?

I'll admit it. Its happened 3 times to me. If you don't know already my Ram is my daily driver. My baby is my 1995 Z28. I'm not exactly a hardcore Chevy guy, but I bleed F-body (Camaro/Firebird) and 3 times in my life have I got upset or happy enough to shed a tear over something auto related.

First was when they said they were stopping the production of the F-body. It felt like I had my heart ripped out. I seriously cried lol.

2nd, then they announced the the return of the Camaro. I was so happy, hell I was happier than the day I got married. yeah I know I have a sickness.

The 3rd time was when GM took the care that was supposed to bare the Z28 name plate and gave it a ZL 1 nameplate. I am crushed. I was so upset over this. To put it into perspective I've always taken pride in the saying "Anything can be a SS, but only a Camaro can be a Z28."

Its the truth for awhile GM put a SS badge on friggin everything.

Now I know that only Camaro's were ZL 1's also but the ZL 1 is my Elenore so to speak. That one dream car that is realistically unobtainable by myself. So making it into a $50-60k car destroys the prestige of it for me.

I just wanted to know if anyone has ever felt like this ever or am I just the only crazy one lol.

It sounds to me like your shedding alot of tears over GM products . I too shed tears when I get in my GM product , my Cadillac . Most uncomfortable pos I've ever owned . One hour behind the wheel of that thing , my back , legs and hip are killing me . I refuse to drive it . Wife loves it . I would of been pis*** off big time , if I spent the $52,000 for that car brand new and to be that miserable .

GM wise it would be the 60's Camaro. Never was much into Vettes.

I shed several tears when my 72 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus was vandalized and insurance wouldn't pay for it. It broke my heart so much I traded it on my 76 PowerWagon because I just couldn't bear to look at it.

Lol, It's not all GM products just Camaro's and Firebirds. You really dont like your Caddy that much? Maybe because your used to the room of your truck. I get that feeling alot when I drive the truck for awhile and go to drive the Z28.

That's what I'm talking about. The connection one has with their automobile. I'm sorry to hear about your Satellite, I haven't experienced what you went through but I can only imagine. Why didn't your insurance pay for the damages?

I don't drive my truck that much , with the price of gas being as ridiculous as it is . I bought the Caddy for a cruiser when I go to Florida or Alabama . I thought with it being a bigger car that comfort would not be a issue . Boy was I wrong . Even a friend of mine son in law just bought a Cadillac and he says the same thing . Most uncomfortable Cadillac hes ever been in . I did these trips before in my 2000 Chrysler 300M . Didn't do bad at all . My last trip to Fla , I drove my SRT8 car . No issues at all . It's the car , the seats sit almost flat on the floor .

It happened in secure area on an Air Force base and I had no idea who did it because I was off station for 3 months. There was no police report filed on it by my supervisors who found it and when I got back it was to late. The AF told the insurance company that since there was no police report there was not legal claim. Which meant the insurance company couldn't go back to the AF to get their money, so they denied the claim too.

I know exactly what your talking about. Its a GM thing, and actually one of the things I love are the seats being almost on the ground. I guess its personal preference

I know I shed tears when it became obvious I was going to have to take my beloved XJ off the road for a multitude of reasons, but taking the plate off and dropping the insurance was very difficult to do, lol and she's still sitting there waiting to be restored, that truly hurt my heart. I guess the last time would have to be when I (my dad lol) sold my '81 Ram. Both my Jeep and that old beater Ram I had grown very attached to, but I think what disappointed me the most about selling the truck was that my dad was in such a hurry for me to get rid of it that I ended up getting next to nothing for it, but the guy who bought it had no idea what he was looking at under the hood or even close to what that truck was capable of. Needless to say, The Beast is still missed!!!
