Default 2011 1500 Hemi mods

I've always been a Chevy man and currently own a 2004 Chev 2500 Crew Duramax w intake, programer and exhaust. Awesome power but I no longer need a 2500 nor do I need a diesel. I am in the process of ordering a 2011 Dodge 1500 Laramie Crew with a Hemi. I am going to add new intake, programer and would like to come off the duel cats with duel exhaust. I have found in the past it's best to ask those with experiance so I am asking. I know I'll get several opinions which I welcome. That will at least limit my prospects. What should I get?

AFE or Volant intake, diablo sport preditor programmer and i have the magnaflow cat back and love it but if your talkign about doing true duals, they are tricky to do....only a few have completed this without the sensors giving you grief

Go with an intake, good ones will be Mopar, Volant and the BFI (Airflow Innovations). If you want to get a programmer then you should look at the Diablo Sport Predator or the Superchips. I have the DS P and I love it, gives you great tunability. If you go with an exhaust then I would have to recommend the Mufflex kit or Cherry Bomb. They make a kit for the Sports that have a muffler and some pipe. It is like a half cat back in a way.

You can definitely do true duals. You would need to go to a shop to get it made up since you cant buy a true dual kit. The Sports have dual tips but it is not a true dual set up. Also I dont know what sensors have to do with anything, as long as you have the sensors installed nothing will go wrong. So you will need cats to not throw any codes. I would definitely look into a set of headers.....I actually dont know brands (I would say Dynatech best ones out there).

A 180 T-STAT always helps out with the cooling of the truck.

If you want to go with other mods thn you can look at an electric fan, a cam (Inertia Motorsports, Spartan cams), ported heads. Then you can start looking at a torque converter and a shift kit (or a Sheradon valve body) to put the power down. The best thing to do is look at Procharger and buy a kit from them to add 45-50% more HP.

Don't forget the R/T badge, that automatically adds like a bazillion horsepower.

If you are ordering make sure you get the 3.92 gears or it will leave you wanting to swap them out later.

I would definitely look into getting a set of headers for your truck. We have been seeing some outstanding gains with our header system on the new Hemi's. With a set of headers and a tune on a Ram 1500, we put down 354/345 using the stock airbox and muffler. Also, here is a link to the thread http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=61232
