Default Bug deflectors

My dads birthday is next month and I know he's been looking at bug deflectors for his 2011 Big Horn.
I'm not as crazy about chrome bug deflectors on the fourth gens as I was with the third gens.

Does anyone here have a clear bug deflector on there truck and/or have pictures of one?
Does anyone know of any deals on chrome bug deflectors?

I will say I had a chrome Mopar one on my 09 for a bit until I discovered it rubbed the corner of the hood. I don't know if anyone else has run into this but it is something to consider. Thankfully I have that clear bra stuff on the front of the hood so it only rubbed through that.

I have the Mopar color matched deflector and the fit is perfect, no rubbing and blends right in. Here is my install thread, http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=64309

I would definitly go for the color matched one if the had deep water blue pearl. Mopars chrome deflector might be the way to go if theres rubbing with others

Although they may look neat, I've not been a fan of bug shields and ended up taking the one off that was on my previoud vehicle. They don't do much for deflecting bugs off the hood really and it's not easy to wash the front hood behind/under the bug deflector...JMO.

He's had one on every vehicle he's owned that I can think of.
Its not just for bugs but to protect the nose of the hood from rock chips too (that is why most of them are shatterproof). They like to salt the roads with ashes and rock cinders around here.

on my '09, i use a smoke colored EGR bug deflector, their tallest model SUPERGUARD
but, many people don't like the design that goes past the hood itself, like an eyebrow

the scraping can be eliminated with a piece of tape, i didn't use any & i don't see any damage

I vote for the mopar color matched but you will need to add a couple rubber spacers to keep it off the corner's of the hood. It should have come with them like every other one I ever installed.
