Default Question about the drivers seat on the F-150

Need some help here? I have a 2010 Ford Super Crew and the drivers seat is the most God awful uncomfortable seat imaginable! The cushion mainly.
I have two well known upholstery shops , around here anyway, work on the cushion, I have bought three different grades and thicknesses of foam and tried myself and nothing has helped. The last and final upholstery shop rebuilds truck seats primarily for people that escort over size long haul truckers and they say there is nothing they can do because the problem is poor design of the seat frame. I have kept an eye on the Dodge forum and unless I missed it there have been no postings complaining about the seats in the Ram F-150. Sure would like some input because at the end of the year I am dumping the Ford and looking real hard at the Dodge. Thanks for any input.

I am an oversize load escort & i am currently driving a 2009 Dodge Ram quad cab 1500 SLT
i have the cloth bucket seats, lumbar adjustable, power 10 way drivers seat
i am 67 years old & my knees & hips are not what they used to be, but, i have no problems with comfort while driving longer distances, as long as i can stretch my legs & take a pee break after about 3 hours driving, then i am ready to drive at least another 3 hours.
on several occasions i have driven 12 hours or more.
the only problem that i have is that i sometimes wish the seat would go higher, especially at the base of my spine, just because of my old knees, i am considering raising the seat base just a bit
if the seat straightened out a bit flatter when the back is reclined, i could easily take a nap in it. Thinking about getting a custom pillow made for that

my '99 chevy 1500 seats were slightly better, but, did not have the 10 way power adjustment

Seats are very comfortable for long driving. But as with anything, someone who lives in the seat may feel a little more than the average driver. being able to adjust the power pedals makes legroom a little easier as well.

The first week I had mine, I drove from OKC to Chicago.....800+ miles, and have never been happier about making the distance!!! I have cloth seats, and they are plenty wide and supportive, without being too soft and squirmy!!! Never road tripped a F-150, but I know the leather F-250 seats from 08+ SuperDuty trucks are pretty good on the short trips I have made driving and in the back!

First off, thanks for every bodies input. If I have to trade it sounds like the drivers seat on a Dodge won't be an issue.
Secondly, to GTyankee, one of my friends flies small airplanes and recommended an outfit named "Oregon Aero" He ran across them at a air show. They make all sort of seats and cushions. I Google it and things looked interesting. Haven't tried anything yet but you might pull them up and look around.

I love the seats in my 08 1500 as far as comfort, no problems. The only thing that I don't like is the sides of the seat bottoms seem to wear down a bit fast. But I had a 06 Ford F-150 before my Dodge and the difference is incredible. My but would start to get sore after a hour or two in the Ford but I have driven 4+ in the Dodge and felt just fine.
