My story goes back to the when the first gen trucks came out with the restyle. The minute I saw it and thought that looks like a big rig...love it. Unfortunately I was not in the position to buy one at that time as I was a Corporal in the military with two young kids and the funds were not there.
Jump forward to 2009. Still longing for a Ram for roughly 15 years now. I came back from my 5th tour in Afghanistan, the kids much older and now far better off financially, not to mention a butt load of cash saved up from my tours, I decided to pull the trigger and get the truck I had been longing for for soo long.
I have not been disappointed with that decision once...LOVE MY RAM!!!!

My love for Dodge Trucks spawned when I was about 13 or so. My Dad's friend, Rod, had a 99 Dodge 2500 with the CTD, and it was a mean machine. He had a lot of work done in to it so it just looked badass. I loved the way they were styled and how the cummins was so powerful.

Then about 2007, my dad finally decided he was going to trade in his 97 Ford for a truck that would last him forever. He went to Ford first and hated the styling. Then to chevy, and hated the new styling. Eventually he made it over to a Dodge dealership and found a 2006 2500 Mega Cab with the CTD and never looked anywhere else. He ended up getting the truck, and he still keeps it like new. I love the truck as well, just because I have a thing for CTD's.

Well, for my first car, I ended up getting handed down my mom's Oldsmobile Aurora. I was really hoping I'd have enough money saved up for a truck, but I didn't. So a year passed and about December of 09 my dad got a promotion from his job. This brought along a hefty bonus check. He knew how much I wanted a truck, so we scraped what money I had together, and he told me to go find a truck. I only had a $11,000 budget so I got to work.

Around this area I was having such a hard time finding a 3rd gen truck. I didn't really want a 2nd gen because none of them had been properly taken care of. I searched and searched and couldn't find anything I liked. It had to be a quad cab with 4x4 and a larger V8. Finally, one day, my dad was looking up trucks, and came across mine. He showed it to me and I was in awe. I had to have the thing, so we went and got it.

I love my truck because it's just that, a truck. It's got plenty of power, it looks awesome, and it rides smoother then any car I've ridden in. And I love the 4wd, even though half the time I won't need it. But It's awesome to have a truck that makes all other trucks jealous. I constantly get compliments on my truck because of the growl of the flowmasters and just the fact that it's a nice truck. And I get plenty of Ford's and Chevy's that try to outrun me, but to no avail.

I won't be getting rid of this truck for a long time. I'll end up blowing it up before I trade it off. But, I know for sure that my next truck will be an 06-08 Dodge. If it's a Hemi or a Cummins, I know I'll love it.

I stole the idea from my roommate! He bought a new 06 Big Horn and started toying with it right away. It got a 6" lift, 35" tires on 20's and HID's..........Loved it, everything about it was great. It was a 4.7 though, so I knew exactly what to get with mine! A hemi Big horn 2wd.....first new car/truck I have ever had, and I waited until almost 26 for it. It is a 2010 and way nicer than even the 06. I love it, doesn't feel like a truck to drive. I plan on keeping it for a long time, at least until I see a fifth gen Ram!

despite any issues I've had with my truck (it's the risk I took because i wanted a performance machine)..I still love it..it's a little weathered and i guess I'm not that anal with appearance..I wanted a mean machine! I'm gonna try and keep it forever and rebuild anything that breaks...

Well, back in junior college I bought a new Nissan King cab. It was the most gutless thing I have ever owned. Fast forward, I needed a full size truck and I just thought that the Dodge had by far the nicest interior by far. I bought a used 96 Extended Cab and loved that truck. Had no real problems until, at 123k miles I broadsided a F150 who ran a red light. So, I got $6300 from insurance and knew I wanted another Ram. I found my 03 with 63k miles, ran great, looked good. It has a salvage title, supposedly hit in drivers front in Las Vegas. Well, almost every vehicle I own has a salvage title so that didn't scare me off, so I bought it for $6300,( how's that for planning?) My mechanic looked over the truck and can find no evidence of damage of any kind. So, I'm happy. My kids love it too.

welp... my first car is what truely turned me onto dodge, It was a 1967 dodge polara 2 door hard top with a 318 and a 727 trans, i drove it through most of high school until i had the bright idea of trying an engine swap with a buddy of mine... togather we had about as much skill as... well.. not alot lol, ended up with the engine in but we could never get in running right. so it sits in my garage lol, but when she did run she never let me down once, so i needed another way of getting to school and work so i had to get another vehicle, after haveing my first be a dodge and it never letting me down as hard as i ran that car i knew i had to have another one. but i wasnt sure what i wanted i ended up with my grandfathers bronco for awhile, fun truck to toy with but it broke down every other day... idk maybe i expected to much from a ford lol. but after driving that for a few months riding in a car felt weird so i saved what i could and went looking for a truck. had about 11k to spend looked at all the dealers in my area and couldnt find a decent onef or the right price ( thanks to cash for clunkers...) so a buddy of mine took me to a dealer by his house and i found my mega cab, was the bigest ram i had ever seen. i wanted it so bad, but i knew i didnt need somthing that big, and i defanitly couldnt afford it... but i went against better judgement and put what i had as a down payment on it. so she's mine for the next 5 years weather i want her or not lol. not a big fan of the tan interrior and the short bed but those are things i can live with.
