Default Brake problem mystery need help???

Hello, bought my 2003 dodge ram 1500 2wd new in 2003. Had a problem where I think I had warped rotors. replaced them and the pads on both sides. fixed the wobble when braking. New problem with the brakes. They appear to be very soft when braking, almost to the floor. hissing sound when it happens. If the truck is not running seems like you can pump it a few times and seems to preasure back up. Would this be the master cylinder, or the power brake booster. plan on bleeding the brakes in the next week to see if this helps. Truck has just hit 81,000 miles.
Thanks for any insight
Tim Lynch

If the hydraulics weren't opened, it's probably not air. It's most likely either something not reinstalled correctly or the master cylinder is bypassing internally.

It could really be a number of things . I've even seen a brake caliper that isn't slidding evenly cause a low brake pedal . Best thing I can recommend to start is go ahead and bleed the brakes first . Who knows , that may fix it .

I recently changed the Brake pads and front rotors in my Dodge Ram 1500 Yr.2000 2WD. The chilton manual warned that a Scanner is needed for a 4WD model if bleeding is needed. So I happen to perform bleeding at the front wheel's brake cylinders, as one of the cylinders popped to much out and some air got in. Now my "ABS" indicator and the "Brake" (red) indicator lights are ON in the instrument cluster. Help!
