Default Air suspension

Hi fellow Rammers;
I have an '07 Ram 1500 quad cab short bed. I am looking to beef up the rear suspension a bit. I need something adjustable 'cause I don't want to stiffen the ride when I'm not hauling. I don't pull anything over 5,000 lbs. and never exceed about a 600 lb tongue weight. I do carry some heavy tools and materials at times [maybe about 1200 lbs]. I'm looking at the fallowing two kits and was wondering if anyone had any experience with either one. Like I said I want to retain the good ride I have when the ram's not loaded.

Thank you in advance,

I would go with the Firestone Ride right, Firestone is the top dog for air bags.

If all you do is moderate towing and want a simple answer and install look into the timbren ses kit. Your ride is totally unaffected until your rear sinks about an inch then the rubber stoppers come into play. Install takes 15 minutes

there are systems out using Firestone bags .. but it removes the rear springs .. and replaces it with a whole new air system .. that can have 12,000lb's of center weight .. like from a goose-neck and also a 5th wheel .. but when you are unloaded .. it runs as empty and rides like a caddy ... cost is a bit more than you may want to spend ... but I rode in one and thought I was in a car down the road and on dirt roads .. if I could come up with the money .. I would have that system installed
But air is the way to go any way you want to look at it .. now you say you do not haul heavy there is a air bag system that runs at the back of the springs .. better rid .. but you will only be able to handle the OEM weight .. no extra
and it rides great .. a lot better than the helper ones
