I know this is a bit old but finally decided to build a cai and this was perfect. I bought everything I needed but have heard so many different views on PVC. Any updates on the guys that went with steel or alum piping? I painted up the section of PVC I cut but after hearing all the fume stories due to temps, I'm holding off on the install. Some people have said to use the gray or black pvc since it does not emit the fumes. Any thoughts???

Thanks all! I was actually just going thru my Summit Racing catalog for a new muffler and they have 3" aluminum exhaust tubing for $17. Since I won't need that much tubing I can use that for the intake tubing. Just need to decide on the muffler and then order.

No they won't. Mopar makes a CAI. Why would they void your warranty if you have an authentic Mopar CAI installed? Whoever told you that has no idea what their talking about.

Cruising down the highway the other day I saw 23.9 on the display on my way to work. I don't know what the max has been but that was most I had seen before and that was with the cruise set at 75. I'll fill up tomorrow though and we'll see what I get with the next tank. Either way, I have to say I'm pleased. And like the added engine noise when getting on it.
