Default major electrical problem

i put LED bulbs for my front turn signals. i snipped the wires today to install an 8 ohm resistor on them, one at a time, and tried to use it. the only one wired at this time was the right front one. it started ticking normal, and i thought i was in the clear. i looked at my dash, and every time the arrow turns on, the odometer display cuts off. also, every single light minus the one front bulb and headlights flashes, even the license plate lights. i unhooked the resistor and rewired the socket back to the truck by itself and it does the same thing still. also, when i turn the headlights on, the right turn signal arrow comes on and stays on. wtf is goin on with this thing? im stumped on whats goin on. also, that park light wont come on.

Sounds like it could be a bad ground somewhere.

well i went to try to reground the bulb a couple minutes ago. got everything out and looked between the radiator and ac condensor and found one of my old regular bulbs. just for s&g's, i plugged it in b4 i rewired the ground. it works fine. what the he double hockey sticks? the only thing i can guess is the resistor i used was too much and messed up something inside the bulb. the research i did said to use a 6 ohm resistor and i used an 8 ohm. would that have done it?
