Default new cam for mega cab?

i have been reading through a lot of threads about cams since it comes up often, there were a few questions i didnt see answered in my search that i was hoping someone could help me with. I want a cam that will boost my low-mid end tq and hp since most of my driving is between 0-45mph as city driving.

Does the size of the truck matter when selecting a new cam? i.e. regular cab, QC, or mega?

Should new valve springs be done with cam upgrade?

The main cams i have read about are the Comp 260 and 268, but what about the 273?

How do the Comp cams compare to the "Spartan" cam from Inertia?

Many factors need to be considered when choosing a cam. My advice is to gather as much info about your truck as you can (weight, gear ratio, tire size, engine and trans type, current and future mods and what you want to accomplish) and call a couple of cam companies and geet their recommendations. Not all cam upgrades require new springs and it will depend on the specs of the cam you pick.

The comp 260 is the torque cam...the higher duration the cam gets, the more it leans to top end HP, and you would end up needing a higher stall torque converter!
And from Inertia, the best torque cam would be the Crazy Jay
