Finance the bike at that rate, put a down payment on it. Make larger payments when you can and shit by the time this thread is done your bike will be paid off. AND you still have money in the bank...and your building your credit for the mansion in the future. DAMN a win..win..

to be completely honest...sit on it for a week or two until you have really made up your mind...you could go today and signe the papers and buy the bike and kick yourself later...at least if you think about it a while you might decide yah know what I am going to take the summer pay off my truck...keep money in the bank and worry about buying a better bike once my truck is paid off...I am going to take a portion of the money in the bank buy my g/f the ring she wants and invest in my future instead of my 'I want it right now' needs LOL (yes I am on her side LOl)
You never know you might find a better deal once your truck is paid off, then you haven't signed into anything, you still have your money in the bank and your g/f is happy...just sayin'

I've been blessed with probably one of the more secure jobs available right now. I work for the Department of Defense, Air Force and we may be the only people still hiring by the 100s.

I'm racking my brain trying to come up with every possible circumstance that would make me spending the money less painful. I just spoke with one of my buddies and I think I may actually move into his place once my lease is up in May. Not living alone will put another $300 or so in my pocket each month. Good thing is, I don't have to sign a lease, so if I decide to pop that question, I'm not tied down to a place when I decide to move.

Forgot to mention, I play online poker and make around $400-$500/month on a consistent basis. I think I'm just a tight @$$

Eh, I would split the difference an put some money down and finance the rest. When you think you have a comfortable amount in your saving, minus the payoff, then I would payoff off the rest of the loan. It's a good interest rate, it will help increase you FICO score if you are perfect at making ALL of your payments on time, and then just pay it off in a year or two. With my vehicle, I will pay the regular payment one month then sometimes double the monthly payment and then when I have extra money laying around I will through down and extra grand or more on a payment. You will have it paid off in no time. That's just me though...
