Exclamation DHM Cut Out Electric Exhaust

Hi guys i have a Dodge Ram with:
5.7
4X4
K&N Drop in filter

I was looking at some videos on Youtube and the DHM Electric cut out exhaust caught my eye and i was wonder does it increase the performance of the truck? Does it effect my mileage? Does it wear down on the engine components? and are they worth the price.

If you can answer any of the questions i would be very happy

Thanks for you time!

your truck shold have a hi flow cat so if you have a straight pipe exaust or magnal flow something other than stock with the cat you have no need for them other than more sound since a cat muffles axaust. alsoexaust system dosent affect anything from the last 02 sensor forward. basicaly take the cat off or by pass it and kiss your mps good bye when its open through that cut out

Hi,
1. it dos NOT increase the performance of your Truck, quite the opposite.
2. the Mileage is even lesser
3. and yes. it is worth it, but only til max. 40mph, over this speed it΄s sound to bad.

Hope i could help you

Greets from Bavaria

Uwe

i have done quit a few exhaust dumps on cars when i had my dyno shop they help with SOME power but not much. think about how the flow is interrupted when its open. at highway speeds the air will kick up the exhaust and have a tumbling effect creating an issue. to prove this we had a turbo car with stock highly restrictive exhuast and put a cut out on.....car actually lost 5mph in the 1/4. i will never run a dump or electric cut out. if you want performance run a dual exhuast and x pipe

this is my opinion from past experences on cars and turbo cars either way tho an engine is an engine

Mine is normally closed but its nice that i can open them whenever i feel like it. Thats the good thing about e-cutouts.
