I'm not sure what the factory default is, but I was under the impression the time is adjustable. I can't verify this though because I don't have one in the shop or access to an owners manual at the moment.

by "puddle lamps" I assume you mean the ones located onthe bottom of the mirrors?
I notice mine go off in a reasonable amount of time when I use the remote locking ... but if I lock the doors using the doorlock located on the door, then they stay on.... and on and on....

Mine dont shut off at all if you open and close the door with the truck off. You have to use the fob to lock it then they go off.

took my 2011 Ram in to get the update, fixed it for about a week then started noticing that if i shut off the truck get out shut the door they go right off, after that if i re open and then shut a door the passenger light goes off but the driver one stays on for a long time unless i lock it, i find it really weird that one goes off and one stays on

Does anyone know if this fix works? I just bought my truck Saturday and last night I went out in the garage after a few hours and my "puddle lamps" on both mirrors were still on.

I know this is a little off tops, but does anyone know how to get into the puddle lamp housing? Id like to solder different LEDs onto the board and have yet to get a good answer about them
