Default Puddle Lights

Just bought 2011 Laramie last week.

Has the trailer tow mirrors.

The puddle lights don't seem to phase out with the interior lights.

They stay on for quite a while.

Is this normal or an issue?

Thankx!

Mine does the same thing. last time it was at the dealer they told me it was normal.

Looks like they were wrong. Thanks ramtech, I copied the TSB number and will take it with me the next time the truck goes to the dealer which will be soon.

Is this a big deal to perform when the re-flash? Do they need certain software from engineering? Already, I can here the service writer telling me they don't have the software to do the re-flash.

This flash takes about 10 minutes to perform and the new software is downloaded directly from Chryslers server. This bulliten is fairly new, so at the time, your dealer may have believed this to be normal operation.

My puddle lights on the drivers side mirror have been on all night and are still on. I just bought my Ram on saturday and it is a 2011 Big Horn. I called the dealer and they said it sounded like a computer update. Shouldn't they have checked that before I pulled off the lot?
I noticed the light on last night (Sunday night) and it stayed on all night and as I was driving to work this morning.

Great site by the way. Just joined and can't wait to dive in.

I hope this garage can fix this.

The only reason they would have to check is if Chrysler issures a RRT that addresses a known issue. This issue is is addressed through a TSB, so it would be handled when the truck is brought in for service.
