Default 2011 ram 1500 locker

Does anyone know who makes a locker or limited slip for a 2011 ram 1500 sport 4x4? Needing some more traction. Thanks!

Here is just one site.

Rear axle lockers:

I'm biased b/c I have one but I like the Eaton True-trac. Although not on this truck, I've also tried the Lock Right and Eaton Detroit Locker. I would start here.

Wow thanks! Do you think the lock right would be good for a daily driver which tows occasionally? Thanks again!

You know I don't know. I bought the Lock Right first of them all and it was for my wrangler. I will admit that my decision was based on 1. price and 2. ease of installation. It was the least expensive and installation of all the choices is a breeze. It replaces the spider gears inside the carrier. But that is also the reason I would be hesitant to install in in a 390 hp/ 407 lb ft 5000+ lb truck. I have no first hand stories and have not read anything negative but I'm not sure I would install it my truck. Purely speculation but it just doesn't seem like it would be up to the task IMHO. You may want to do some googling or reading on some 4x4 forums. they would prob know better b/c I don't go wheeling any more (sold the jeep and my truck is 2wd). It would sometimes lock up abruptly coming out of corner and if you have snow or ice in your area it could make for some interesting moments if you aren't easy on the throttle.

The detroit locker speaks for itself. I daily drove my jeep on 35" BFG MTs with one of these and it wasn't really that bad. It replaces the carrier so that requires someone to set up your gears.

The true trac has a great reputation also and I can't even tell it's back there. It's what I currently have. If your budget can swing it that is what I would recommend. It also requires someone to set up the gears on it.

If you are just wanting some posi traction and your budget is slightly lower then I think I'd with the stock traclock.

thanks so much. i plan to(eventually) move up to 35's, but for now factory will do. i will check the prices on the detroit now and see how difficult it is to install. thats one of the things that attracted me to the lock right. does the detroit have a negative effect on towing? thanks again!

sorry I can't answer your question I just don't know much about towing. Maybe someone will see this who does.
