Already got power locks? At least on the QC and CC the hardware is already there and all you need is a programmable FOBIK and a willing Tech.

http://ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=71952

I bought a refurbed FOBIK for $40 and the local dealer tech did the programming for free. However be careful as if the chip in the FOBIK is not replaced or wiped you will get a mismatch message and it will not program. Not every seller on ebay is reliable.

New FOBIK are $100+ Dollars and some dealers charge $60 just to program FOBIK and cut emergency key + $85 for computer time to add sales code so it could easily add up to more than the aftermarket option at some dealers.

It would be an ideal time to add the MOPAR Remote Starter Kit as it comes with two FOBIK and the price is cheaper than two FOBIK alone. Just make sure they add the sales code for RKE as well as RS.

I called my dealer yesterday and they told me that the only way to get keyless entry on my truck is to also have the remote start installed...? I then called another nearby dealer and was told the same thing. It doesn't make sense to me. My truck has power locks... I thought that I would just need to have the remote/FOB programmed? Why would I need to have the remote starter installed, too?

Because thats the cheapest way to add it if you take into consideration a single remote key is $172.00 and a remote start kit is $235.00 and it comes with the (needed for keyless enty) WCM (ignition switch), antenna, TWO keys, hood latch.....

What did it cost to add the remote start to your 11 cc?

Just had one installed on my 2011 CC and it was $400.00. I have the 2 original key fobs that the Dealer said are not useable plus the 2 remote start key fobs. Love it. Remote start turns on my cooled seats and the air.
