Default Mud flaps or not

I am picking up a 2011 Laramie in the morning. I am wondering if I need to install mud flaps. I really don't like the look of them on the truck, however I am worried that I will damage the paint without them.

Opinions please? What are the best flaps?

I think it depends on where you live as well. Clear paint protection is another option although it is more expensive. Your local tint shop can provide you a quote.

This is what I had in mind. I don't like the mud flaps either. Make's our trucks look like a gramps-mobile.

I put the new Mopar molded ones on my 2011 RAM R/T and they fit and look great....very well built. No mud flap looks better than without in my opinion, but the Mopar ones work very well to keep crap off the body.

Now my truck is black so they probably blend in easier than other colors :-)

Tough call. After some work off-road this weekend, I saw the results and wondered what was worse in the long-run - mud-flaps (not crazy about) or paint damage (not crazy about). Can't wait to hear what others say...

I vote for getting them.

I think the OEM molded ones look pretty good, and it will save you alot of trouble in the long run!

I say no flaps, but that's just my opinion. Let us know what you end up doing

If you don't get them around here, after 30,000 miles it will look like someone took a sandblaster to the areas behind each wheel.
