Default MYGIG & LOCKPICKv.3

I have ordered the lockpick v.3 for my RER Mygig radio . I am currently running the 1.220 version of software on my Mygig. Will I need to update or will the lockpickv.3 work as is...

I will work but you should update if you can always anyway with these radios. Sometimes you get cool changes, sometimes your mic just works better or stuff you don't see. It should work. I have to update my LockPick for the first time. There is an update. They don't tell you you have to check. It was from Sept I think. Anyway gonna do that today after I do the cabin filter mod.

You don't have to update the MYGIG with the addition of the LOCKPIC. Some of the updates usually resolve the bluetooth issues with some cell phones and it will also update the way Navigation information is displayed. The updates are usually $10 and I think the latest version out is 2.102 for the RER.

Well I did the LockPick update, first time it tells you don't interrupt or it may be corrupted and not work or something like that well it crashed at the end and said try again later, so I just did it right away, I didn't realize I was trying to load the first update they had that was already in mine since I bought it after that update. So when I put the proper one it accepted finished and fixed the issue I was having with the front camera not coming on when slowing down(for parking) anyway all is well and works great now.

Are you ever worried that the flashes the dealers do will effect the lockpick functionality?

I installed the Lockpic V2 on my 2011 Dodge 2500 and the DVD will not work in drive. I saw a post earlier on this and someone else had the same issue. Holding down the UConnect button for 7 seconds does not activate it. Ideas anyone?

Not sure if you have the dip switches set correctly or not. Here are the directions to verify those dip switches. http://www.coastaletech.com/media/MY...STRUCTIONS.pdf

Page 9 has the following information that may help you out:

If you wish to require a button press to maintain discreet operations or to block
another driver from discovering the video in motion operations, the automatic
enabling can be stopped or restored very easily. While the radio is in the DVD mode,
press and hold the Uconnect button for more than 7 seconds and then release it. Now
if you place the vehicle in DRIVE, the VIEW VIDEO button is no longer
automatically enabled. To manually enable the VIEW VIDEO button while in Drive,
the user can simply press the radio power button 2x and the VIEW VIDEO button
will again appear and be available for selection. Double press the power button again
and the VIEW VIDEO button will disappear from sight. Also, while in the manual
activation mode, the navigation address input while in motion is blocked until the
user presses the power button 2x.
To restore automatic VIDEO VIEWING and navigation radio address input without
any button presses, place the radio in DVD mode. Then press and hold the Uconnect
button for more than 7 seconds. Now all blocked functions are again enabled

automatically and fully selectable in any gear or at any speed.
