Default 35" Tires w/2.5" leveling kit....

Hey guys,
I'm ordering tires this week, and I'm looking at the 35x12.5 on my factory 20" rim. The guy at my local tire shop showed me a set of tires that he had to take off a 2007 Ram with the old style factory 20" rim. Said it rubbed on some of the suspension pieces because of the offset of the factory rim. Said I could buy aftermarket wheels or use a spacer on the factories. Of course I've had other people say you can run 35" tires with no problem.

I have the 2.5" leveling kit on the front so I'm not worried about fender well clearance but I'm just wondering if any of you guys are running 35" tires on your factory rims, or if you know if the offset is different on the 11' from the older style 20" rim. Thanks!

You can run 35x12.50x20 on factory rims. that is what i have under my 6" lift. I did need to use a 1/4" spacer IOT make them not rub. I have also read on here that may people say you're able to fit 35" tires under a 2.5" leveling kit.

If i were you, I would do a test fit before you actually purchased to make sure no rubbing occurs.

i have 35" nitto mud grapplers on KMC monster wheels, and i had a small amount of rubbing before i did a little bit of modding to the fenders.
