Default t.b. spacers

I am thinkingabout putting a throttle body spacer on my 94 with the 5.2. But i am also thinking of shaving the air sleaves down, does n-e 1 know if doing the t.b. spacer will defeate the shaving of the air sleaves?

Since you have a fuel injected engine, a TBS won't do anything for the airflow. Milling down the throttlebody will get you plenty of noise from the intake, so adding the TBS will be a waste of your money.

personally, i think a throttle body spacer makes a good paper weight in a windy auto shop office & not good for much else

Not quite. They do have a use (besides paper weights) in carbeurated engines or if you are running a wet nitrous system. The purpose of a TBS is to swirl the air, which increases travel length and increases the turbulence of the airflow. This allows for the vaporized fuel (carbeurator and wet nitrous) to diffuse into the airstream better prior to entering the combustion chamber which gives you a much more efficient and cleaner burn.
