Default 2011 Ram 1500 2wd

Hello,

I'm new to the forum as well new to owning a Ram or truck for that matter. I just traded in my 2010 Challenger SRT8 for a 2011 Ram 1500 Laramie (had to do it for the family). My truck is a 2wd and I'm looking at lifting my truck. I know some of you on this forum are going to say "why did you get a 2wd if you want to lift the truck". I have no need for 4wd and the purpose of the lift is only cosmetic. I'm looking to lift ii 4" and add some bigger tires on my stock rims. So I have done some research on the web and CTS suspension seems to be the only company that I can find that offers a suspension lift for a 2wd 2011 Ram. So my question is; has anyone lifted there 2wd truck with this company? And what is the best tire to go with to fit on my stock rims? I'm just looking for some beefy tires. Once again I'm new here and I don't know a whole lot about trucks. Overall I just want a little more height to the ride and to look a little more beefy. It's my daily driver and all of my driving is done in the city, won't be going off roading at any time. Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

I'm guessing that you meant CST not CTS. I do not have a 2011, nor have I used CST's products, but I have seen good reviews about their lifts by dodge owners. The only thing that gets me is with that 4" lift you will not need new front shocks, but I do not know much about Dodges new suspension system.

If you just hang in there I'm sure someone with a little more knowledge than me will come along and be able to help you out.

I installed the cst 4in lift on my 10' ram 2wd it's a very easy intall took me about an hour at work it must b aligned afterwards the quality of the products is awesome the ride is just like stock u must leave the stock length shocks in the front n rear so u do not have to replace any of the shocks the front wheels will stick out about an in more so a rear spacer would b a good idea to have the rear wheels stick out the same I've had it for about two months n I love it I'm running 295/70/18 which is a 34' tall tire Nitto trail grapplers

It was a tough bullet to bite. I purchased the Challenger in early 2010 after I returned from my third deployment. It was a gift to myself. I did all sorts of custom work to it as well. I have two kids and have never had to really transport them around other then in my wife SUV. I got re-stationed and the wife got a new job and before you know it....I'm taking the kids everywhere. Just wasn’t feasible to keep the Chally anymore. Plus the wife a month ago asked if we could make another one so I had no choice but to trade her in for a RAM Crew Cab.
