Default TrueFlow Air Filter

I saw this while looking up filter test, looks like it stops dirt like a champ! Does anyone have any real world info or have one? I don't even know if they are made for the Ram, but the video says they dynoed the same as paper and wet guaze!

I've heard a few people on here that have got these. I'm kind of intrigued by them now, have to see if they make one for my CAI

That is impressive ! Although, the thing that concerns me is not showing the placement of the catch piece under each filter. How does one know there wasn't dirt placed on it before the test was ran ? Just a thought but we know how companies often try to use "slight of hand" type demonstrations, afterall they are salesman !
Thanks for posting this one Timmy ! I'm gonna have to check further into this product.

It was clean before they started pouring the dirt on each time! I don't know if they are any good, but it looks intriguing to say the least!!!

Years ago, Amsoil had the same foam type air filters, called the '2 stage' ,,,

DID YOU NOTICE IN THE VID HOW THEY FAIL TO MENTION HOW TO SERVICE THE FILTER?????

If they are like Amsoil, they use a special 'tack' oil to 'attract/catch/hold' the dirt.

Thick, sticky, and NASTY!!!!!!!

Had one (Amsoil) in my old silvy,,,Nasty out of the wrapper, nasty to clean and by far the nastiest filter to re-oil on the planet!

After you soak that turd to 'loosen' the dirt, you really have to work it over to clean it...

BUT WAIT!!! THERE'S MORE!!!!

You then have to dribble the special tack oil on it and 'squeeze/press' the thing to distibute the oil / get the excess out.

What a fuggin mess!!!!!

Still not convinced???????????

Don't worry, no matter how hard you try to get the excess out/off, it will still puke/drip tack oil in the bottom of your airbox,,,

IMHO, avoid this thing like the plague!

(No wonder Amsoil doesn't sell 'em anymore!)

I purchased a TrueFlow CAI for my 2006 when I bought the truck. I like that it uses the stock filter box so it gets cold air from the front of the truck. It eliminates the corrugated air tube and restrictive Hemi hat.
I saved the original paper filter to use while I am cleaning the foam filter. When I do have to clean the foam filter I can take my time and soak it very well with the cleaner. Rinse it throughly and let it dry completely.
Oiling is a little bit of a mess. Just use gloves and do not over oil.
I like it.

TrueFlow-When the 5.7L Hemi kit was dyno tested, it made an amazing 19.1 hp and 37.3 ft-lbs of torque! Nothing on the site for 09+
