My opinion on the twin air intake is that the *twin air* is useless. You can only take in so much air.

It would really depend on the scoop and if you were to draw directly from the vent. A cowl hood would extract more heat at speed but you'd still be pulling under hood temps at low speed/idle. A completely sealed hood scoop to inlet tubes would be best, but making that happen is much harder and you're more prone to pulling water into the intake unless you have a system that baffles and traps/drains water before it can reach the filter(s).

Making it happen would be very difficult or expensive unless you have the fab skills yourself as a hood would have to be custom fabricated.

its purely aesthetic. Looks good under the hood but really not any better than anything else. Your air intake is really limited by your TB size and amount of vacuum the engine is "pulling". NONE of these intakes are really creating more air intake, they just free up restriction...
Im a firm believer in one, but just not in any of the $300 ish brands...
