Default Proper PSI on Aftermarket wheels

Do you follow what is stamped into the tire or something else? New to this and just bought a truck with aftermarket rims and tires.

You take the max psi labeled on the tire and test when they have been setting for 3 hrs or more .You should then set the psi atleast 8 pnds less than the max to acount for swelling once they warm up. I personally set mine 10 pnds lighter to give a little breathing room.

I also have a mitsubishi eclipse with 225/45/17 that take 55 psi so it all depends on tire the max psi will be on the side of your tire in small writing ussually inside off a little circle

Mine are Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ 325/50R20.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MTT-5120/

The writing on them says max psi is 65. I got them to 50psi today as the right rear was low and out of the 4 that one had noticeably more tread wear. Those are what was on it when I bought it.

I would call a local tire shop and ask them! That seems like a lot of pressure!
