Default quad headlights

I have a '11 ram 1500 with quad headlights. Is anyone else having issues with the lack of light at night? I had an 03 & 06 and was very happy with the light output at night. I have had them adjusted at the dealer and its not much better.

you can adjust them all you want. The 10 (like i have) and 11 are the same with shitty lighting! its just the lights they have in them. get some HID or a set of silverstars and you will see a huge difference. If you have fog lights run them all the time!

You have to remove the headlights to access the bulbs. It is not hard to do, just a little time consuming. Pull the rad cover off, remove the grille mounting bolts, reach in the fender liner and pull down on the white retaining slide, remove the 2 headlamp bolts located by the grille and pull the headlamp out. This prodedure is also on your manual DVD.

Mine was around $450, but that includes everything you need. All you have to do is wire in the included relay harness and ballasts then plug everything in. Price will vary depending on what you want done. Shoot him an email, he will give you a quick quote, no obligation obviously.

did you paint the headlight housings to match the blue pearl? I was thinking of doing this and already have the paint but was unsure how it would look. does it take away from the light projected?

A more simple solution would be to do what I did which is to replace the fog bulbs with an HID kit. The factory fogs have a good cutoff and are low enough to stay out of oncoming drivers eyes given the increased lumens from the HID kit. The output very similar to the output of my bixenons in my Mercedes.

Yes the headlight housings were paint matched with the deep water blue mopar touch up paint. It doesn't take away from the light output at all, since the light is focused out from the projector now, the chrome reflectors in the housing are no longer used for reflecting the light.
Check out that link to his website, he posted pics of all the retrofits he did. Mine are on there as well. I think the title of the slideshow for mine is Deep Water blue v3 or something to that effect. He's done a few in that color and pretty much every other color our trucks come in. I highly recommend it.:smiley_thu mbs_up:

I was gonna do it myself, but I knew I wouldn't have done as good a job as he did.

Great great great info. Definatly getting this done on my truck. Not sure about color matching but will decide on that when the time comes. Added to my list of things to do.
