Default Finishing Touches?

Hey guys, later this week my American Racing headers, BBK 85mm tb and custom tune are going to be installed and I'm wondering what more there is to do to my truck other than new cylinder heads, re-gearing or supercharger since I'm running out of cash flow for this project. Any advice would we great, I've been considering a cam but I'm not sure. What else is out there? thanks

I would definately get a cam with new springs; upgrade head bolts to ARP studs; either P&P your heads or get big valve heads; underdrive pulley; then you still have the option of stroking or getting a blower in the future.

How much would those things run me? I'm looking for the same thing most people are looking for, the biggest baddest engine I can afford to build.

I got priced for a 400 stroker from Stu for around 4 - 5 grand but then you'll need heads, high stall tq converter, custom tuning, then you gotta look at your drivetrain and how long its going to hold up to that kind of power. All truely depends on how much you can afford and how big you want to go

I definitely don't have that kind of cash, i guess what I'm asking is how many more potential options does my engine have staying a 5.7?

if you want to stay with your stock 5.7 best bet is some good P&P heads with a nice sized cam get you close to 400 hp depending on your cam specs

What are P&P heads? To be honest I've never heard of them.

port and polished heads. your best bet for what you seem to want to do is call Stu at inertiamotorsports.com. He will steer you in the direction you want to go
