I am at 60,000 miles & next month i will have had my '09 for for 3 years
time for the fluid changes, Steering, Brakes, & Coolant

I have trusted Randy's opinions since i first joined & he has been correct on everything
I trusted my Service Writer for the most part, the only thing they did differently was the tire rotation, they would only do the Front to Back switch & Randy had told me to do the X rotation. My tires were not marked with a directional arrow & should have lasted longer if done in the CROSS pattern. I had to replace them early because of the cupping & balance issues.

Sorry Dodge, you lost my tire business
Either my dealership's balance machine was not working right, or the tire guy needed a bit better training. 3 trips back for the same issue, made me think that stripping off the weights & starting fresh would have been an option offered by them, Not by Me having to tell them to do it

Sorry for questioning your wisdom, but I really wonder how important to replace fluids? I mean it seems if the fluid is there and looks clean why change power steering, brake fluid? I don't do much offroading so wondering also if i need to change the differentials and such? I have been told spark plugs are good for 100k but read 30k from you. I don't want to spend the extra money if I can get by without doing all you said, but don't want there to be any damage or poorer performance either. I have 40,000 miles on my dodge I bought a 2013 1500 in 2014 after it was wrecked in the states around 2,000 miles. Got it with salvage title over here in Dubai and did the minor repairs and I had a brand new pickup. I have only done oil changes since. I did have to change the transmission oil when water got in due to driving in high water. Wondering what is absolutely necessary in my case? Thanks

When i was 17 i drove my 84 ford for 2.5 years without changing any fluids including the engine oil, if you dont want to take someones advice when to do maintenance then dont and keep driving it till the doors fall off...Its your truck!

It's not that I don't want to take someone's advice, I just want to know what is absolutely crucial for maintenance at 40,000 miles when I have only changed the oil and tranny fluid. I hardly ever go offroad so are the other fluids ok? What about spark plugs and fuel filter? That is what I am eager to hear about. Glad to hear you could drive so long with only changing the oil. That is what I'm hoping for. Thanks

differential oil is cheap and needs to be done, I do mine every 20,000 kms once a year at a cost of 70.00 for both front and back. I tow one day a week and the rear is always extremely dirty. 40,000 miles is lots even if you dont tow or go off road. take the advice or dont...if the fluid is shiny clean when it comes out then you know you can maybe go alittle longer next time.
But if its thick and dirty with grit its effectinig the gears and clutches(lsd)

12,500 miles is a very short interval for diff oil, what kind of oil are you using?
