Default When do I change Oil

On a 2003 5.9L diesel with 0w40 full synthetic how often would you change the oil.
On my gas engine with full synthetic I change it every ten thousand kms

Diesels are a lot dirtier inside. I'd recommend 8000 kms.

+1. I actually do mine every 6,000 to 7,000 kms, but I also prefer dino oil.
Changing it lots is the key in my opinion.
Get the dirt, fuel, etc. drained out.

Synthetic gets dirty, and contaminated with acids, fuel etc. just like dino oil does.
I use dino oil in my trucks.

The only way you can get more miles out of your Synthetic is to add a ByPass filter system. This adds a second filter to your system that continually filters very small particals out of the oil while the main oil filter removes the standard stuff. There are plenty of sights out there explaining ByPass filter systems...The big rigs use them as changing their oil is more costly than yours since they use twice the amount of oil.
