Default Double Din Custom Dash work in 2010 Ram

Hey Guys,

I spend most of my time in Audio Specific forums but thought I would throw this pick up to show you my solution for a Double Din Nav Install in a 2010 Ram. I just couldn't quite learn to like the kit install look and wanted something that looked perfect, kind of stock look but with all the aftermarket bells and whistles. I'm really happy with how it came out, thanks for looking.

That looks super clean ! Did you have to trim any metal in the dash to fit that unit ?

Looks great! Very clean! were you able to use your factory GPS antenna? I'm thinking about the Alpine Nav unit.

Yeah you have to trim a bit of metal to get it in, and the factory nav antenna was never even considered. The Sony Nav antenna is ran to the center location and works perfectly, at least it has for the past week. Thanks for the kind words, I told the installer to call me when it looks perfect, like he would want his own car to look. He did a great job.

So it's a Sony unit?? Do you have the factory radio buttons on the steering wheel and do they still work?

It's the Sony XNV-770BT. I choose it mainly because of the very clean interface and it has all the features I wanted. HD Radio, front and rear back cams, Nav, HD Radio, Bluetooth Phone and Audio, Ipod Integration and Updatable maps. I love the unit thus far and have no complaints. Thanks for the kind words.

As for the Factory radio controls, the unit would do it if I had factory controls. The truck was pretty basic when I bought it, just had the standard radio, no steering wheel controls. If I wanted them I would add them it's jsut not that big a deal to me.

Thank you sir, appreciate the kind words. The theme for this entire build will basically be if Dodge offered a 10,000 dollar audio upgrade what would it look like. Meaning I want killer sound system with all features and I want it to appear like a stock option ( if anyone offered a stock option of this caliber.)

nice and clean. I am installing my aftermarket HU now and you r right the ddin kit doesn't look too clean on the dash. Very good install. Do you had to trim the dash inside to make it fit? look my thread http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=76493
