i was looking into it because it doesn't require any welding because i wouldn't be able to do the welding.. do you know of any other systems that don't require welding?

You can bolt on any muffler out there as long as the piping is the same size. It just requires some clamps on the pipes. I would try and see if you could find a local muffler shop around to weld it. If you buy the muffler yourself, you could have them weld it in. They shouldn't charge that much for a couple welds.

Before buying the muffler and pipes, call a couple mom and pop type muffler shops to get a price. I bought flowmaster, and didnt want to lay on the ground to weld it up, so I went to my little muffler shop to ask them to do it. First off they really didnt like me bringing my own parts (the owner happend to be there and he is an ass but his installers are cool).
Second, I actually could have saved a little money by buying it from them. Just price the stuff you want before you call or go to the shops.

Im not exactly sure what kind of truck you have, you have 97 and 98 listed. Also not sure if what series, 1500-3500... also wheel base and hed length are needed,

But Gibson offers a Super Truck exhaust. I put it on my Ram, it installs in about 20min and there is no welding. Its side exits right infront of your rear wheels on the passenger side

I've had the Vortex dual outlet catback on my truck since...well its been several years. Actually I'm on my second muffler. cuz I broke the fiirst one...my fault.
I've always been happy with the sound and the power. For some folks the sound may be a bit mellow but I'm not about waking up the neighborhood.
