Got a message on my screen this morning and when I go to tire psi the passenger rear has -- for a reading so I guess it's a trip to the dealer. The tire is at 38 psi according to 2 tire gauges ? anyone else have a problem like this ?

Don't have that problem yet, but I wish my truck didn't have that TPMS. I'm old school, a tire pressure gage and and air compressor.

I can't stand that TPMS system, just crap to go wrong.

Several of our vehicles(all makes) at work have the TPMS and there is always something wrong with them.

I would think it would tell you that there is a problem with the TPMS. My Mustang said "Unable to connect to TMPS" when I bought the car. The idiots at the dealer changed rims for me and never reprogrammed the TPMS. Fixed it same day by doing a 2 minute reprogram of all tires. Yours may be the same.

It's most likely a sensor problem. I've replaced my fair share of them for similar problems.

Got a nail in the same tire a few days ago. Took it to the local Belle Tire because it is a lot closer than the dealer. They took the wheel off and before dismounting the tire got me so I could hear the sensor rolling around inside. They dismounted and patched the tire and gave me the broken sensor. Gonna go to dealer soon....
