Exclamation Audio system for my truck.

Hello everyone, I am new to the dodge family. I just purchased a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad cab. I am wanting to get me a sound system, and was wondering what is out there. I want to get something that fits under the seat with the pre fab boxes. I went to a local audio store, and they told me the kicker solo clasic 10" (2 of them) would go good. I also found some Kicker L5 8". Dont know what would sound better. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks for the advice.

The stock amp and speakers are pretty weak so I'd look into replacing those.

Are you looking for a head unit or are you going to stick with the stock one?

Replacing either or both the head unit and amp will require some PacAudio harness adapters to allow the aftermarket equipment to interface with the stock CanBus harness.

As for subs, the 2-10's would sound good with the right amp. I agree with PorkChop. The MTX Thunderform is also a good choice.

You can see some info on my set up here....

Aright thanks guys. MADDOG, yea i plan on using the factory radio. As for the subs do you think the Kicker solo clasic would be better than the Kicker l5 8". The reason im asking is i have a Kicker L7 10" it bumped for a 10". But the guy i talked to said i could not fit that in my truck so i was thinking maybe to 8's would do.

Personally I'd stay away from the Kicker brand. It's flooded on the internet so you can buy it cheaper online that any local retailer can sell it for.

JL Audio, Memphis, Rockford Fogate are the brands I'd say check into if you are looking for subwoofers. Everyone will be opinionated though about what's best, but I'll stand my ground about recommending staying away from Kicker.

I have all JL audio speakers and AMP, in my truck and my boat, by far the best I have ever head. I started out my system in the truck with Kicker 5.25 in the front doors, but I didnt like the fit. Got some JL audio 5.25, the magnet was twice the size, fit perfectly,m and sounds 100 times better.
Just my 2 cents
