no, by default the tubes run to a panel that fits in the bumper space just above license plate...i chose to run mine to the foglight opennings...

with the Superchip Cortex, when you load one of the Performance Tunes does it turn off the MDS or is that something you have to manually choose with the programmer??

Don't mean to jack this thread but I thought it was a good place to ask a question. When going headers and high flow cats why use a Y pipe to one muffler and out to duel tail pipes? I would think it best to exclude the Y pipe and go true duels all the way back.

You'll get a different sound but you probably won't get any added performance(maybe 3-5 hp, maybe). The 4th gens anyway have 3 inch pipe all the way to the muffler, then 2 1/4 after that. Once you replace the stock restrictive midpipe and manifolds and yank out the stock muffler you have plenty of flow.

you have to find that performance medium...a true dual setup with only minor mods (like cai and programmer) will hurt low end performance because of inefficient scavenging... even with the mods i have I didn't go totally true duals...but with dual cutouts I could mimic the same effect and I found that running with cutouts open hurt my 1/4 times until I started spraying...
