Default fog lights

Ok so my truck didnt come with factory fog lights but already had the wire that i could connect fog lights if i wanted to. So if i bought the fog light harness and the switch my fog lights should work right?

You might need the PCM flashed to add the fogs to the programming.

We had to do that with a 2005 Magnum a while back.

Hey, my 03 came with fog lights but they don't go on when the headlight switch is pulled. The bulbs are good , I haven't tried tracing the voltage yet. Could a re-flash fix this as well?

Not sure on your 03 but my 08 you push the headlight switch in, not pull it.

I just installed a kit on my 2008 that I purchased on Ebay. It was labeled as an OEM MOPAR fog light kit and came with both fogs, the bezels, a switch, harness, and a fuse (This is not the knob like on factory 08's where you can push in for fogs, it's a seperate switch that you must install). I just had to hook the positive up to the battery, the ground, and a third wire which needed to be spliced into the factory low beam harness. The wire I had to splice into was white with a blue stripe. It may be different for your 05 model. I still have the instructions if you need any further. It only took about an hour to complete the install.

^^ This is the kit I installed myself, very easy. Now, for the other kits, you must go to the dealership and have them flash the computer to activate the fog lights in the TIPCM.
