Default Hvac and remote start

I've noticed the hvac blows on a high setting when you remote start, even when the engine has been running less than 30 seconds. Jump in and turn on the key, and it goes into a delay mode.

Why would the hvac blow on high when the the vehicle is not warmed up?

Mine will ramp up after 10-15 seconds when the temperature is called for. Is it not supposed to?

When on auto mode, if you open the door 15 seconds after remote start and it's 10 degrees out, the hvac is blasting. Put in the key, it tones down until the engine is warm and then it ramps up again.

It appears to work that way by design, but I can't figure out why. Maybe even if the air is not comfortably warm, since the truck thinks your not in it, it figures blowing 45 degree air on the windshield is helping, but it stops when you put in the key because blowing 45 degree air is not comfortable.

I'm just trying to come up with a reason why my tuck acts this way and wonder if anyone else noticed this seemingly odd behavior too.
