Default Dealer Visit Today

Went to the dealer today to get an extra Fob and key (ouch) . I brought up a couple of isses with the service manager like the Hemi tick and erratic idle. I need to bring the truck back to address those issues, BUT he told me that I need to wax my back bumper regularly. There were some signs of rust starting around the sensors. Apparently he has changed out quite a few on the 2010/11 models due to inferior plating. I cant believe that at 3500 miles My motor tics, truck idles like crap and my bumper is starting to rust. I expect this from a japanese truck but not Dodge. OK I gotta go, need to hurry out and wax my bumper, rain is on its way.

You won't get rid of the Hemi tick. It's just the nature of the beast.

We affectionately call it the hemi tick because it isn't harmful and it's distinctive to our motor. Don't know why it's idling badly, that's something to look into, and the rust is a quality control issue, though I've never heard of wax helping to prevent rust.

As stated, the HEMI Tick is normal. Erratic idle is not.

Those rusted bumpers should be replaced under warranty!
