Like most have said, look at what you plan to do with the truck. Also, look at any modifications you want to do in the future, such as lift/tires, or engine mods.

My two cents is to get whatever you want! Basically if the pricepoint fits, I'd get the 3/4 ton because it'll be all the truck you'll ever need. It'll satisfy the little stuff and the big stuff. When I had a 3/4 ton, on the occasion I, or a friend, needed something heavier pulled, hauled, or yanked out...I was the guy.

i say that is you arnt looking for pure speed, but some offroading fun and toy hauling and you dont care about gas prices then go 2500, but if you prefer the extra comfort of soft suspention, extra speed and look close to gas prices, go with the 1500

When I ordered my 1500, it was $10K cheaper than it's 2500 counterpart, and road smoother. Since it was rated high enough to pull the trailer I pull, I decided to give the 1500 a shot. I do really like the truck, but every once in while I need to carry something that in the past I wouldn't give second thought to, and find the 1500 is at it's max.....plus....a bit. As much as I like my 1500, I will likely go back to the 2500 on my next one, just so I never have to worry about taking it to (or over) the max.

I know so many people who have 2500 and 3500s who have never used them and complain about the ride and the fuel mileage.
I was trying to convince my dad to get a new powerwagon but he wouldnt cave since he would'nt ever use it for anything but the winch (we have other toys for the woods so a $45k trucks the last thing he would take)

I'd just go with the 1500. I wouldn't get a 2500 unless you're really going to use it.

Thanks all. I've gotten very mixed responses here tending towards leaning to the 1500, so I'm going to wait and actually see and drive the Adventurer in person, and not just decide on this dealer offer.

Besides this Adventurer does look good for the price!
